High Visibility and Low Emissivity
3M™ Metalized Film Tape 8437 (PDF, 290 Kb) is generally used for splicing and web applications. The backing is a thin, high tensile strength polyester with a metalized coating on both sides. The metalized surface gives many of the advantages of metal tape without the associated weight. This backing provides some conductivity and maintains a bright, mirror-like appearance. It also meets low-caliper requirements to ensure it won't interfere with most machinery. The tape can withstand a wide temperature range from -60°F/-50°C to 300°F/150°C. A pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive grabs on contact and holds securely. 3M™ Metalized Film Tape 8437 is mounted on a liner to allow for large area applications and die-cutting
